April Fool's Day...

A day of laughter and a day of grief sums up April 1st for most people. But how should April Fool's Day be viewed as a Christian? To understand this I think we need to take a look in God's word and see what it says about a fool. "The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, But he who is wise listens to counsel.[Proverbs 12;15]" When it comes to april fool's day do you think this verse applies to the person that is the butt of the joke or the person who is the joker? I really enjoy this verse personally, b/c as Christians we are not supposed to put a stumbling block in anyone's path. This part goes out to the jokers: Sometimes a joke can be funny, but how can it be perceived to Non-Christians? What about the police that come by late at night? The webster's definition of fool is one who is morally deficient. How does that apply to this day? My second Biblical passage to look at would be..."A fool shows his annoyance the same day, But one who overlooks an insult is prudent.[Proverbs 12;16]" This verse goes more out to the person that is the butt of the joke. Yearby Ward once wrote to Err is human, and to forgive is divine. I think this verse is really important on this day. A lot of people out there are going to do some ignorant things in life, and you are too. This day just happens to fall into that category when people decide to throw intelligence to the wind and be ignorant. When this happens to you then listen to this Bible verse and the Great Yearby Ward. People will be fools, but that does not mean we as Christians need to be. Love one another and let God be your driver in life.
